UCA Ranked in Top 25 Creative Schools Globally by The Rookies

The University for the Creative Arts (UCA) has secured a place among the top 25 creative schools in the world, according to The Rookies, a prestigious platform within the games industry. UCA ranks 25th globally and 3rd in the UK, with its Digital Fashion program earning the top spot in the Digital Fashion category. The annual rankings, which assess universities and specialist schools, are based on student submissions reviewed by 180 judges from across the globe. In total, 67,000 entries were evaluated this year.

UCA’s achievement reflects its commitment to high-quality education that merges creativity and industry relevance. This success follows significant investments, such as £3 million in state-of-the-art games labs and facilities for the School of Games and Creative Technology. These cutting-edge resources, alongside strong collaborations with industry leaders and live briefs, enable students to produce exceptional work.

The university’s MA Digital Fashion, the first of its kind when launched in 2020, continues to lead innovation in the intersection of fashion and digital technology. Collaborations with major industry players such as Farfetch, Epic Games, and The Fabricant further solidify UCA's role as a pioneer in the field. Dr. Sophy Smith, Director of the School of Games and Creative Technology, and Professor Jules Dagonet, Director of the School of Fashion and Textiles, both expressed pride in UCA’s achievements, with Dagonet specifically celebrating the #1 rank in Digital Fashion. The recognition serves as a testament to UCA's ongoing contribution to shaping the future of creative industries.
